Frailty Conference in the Mansion House
The “Framing Frailty: A Step Toward Positive Ageing” took place on Tuesday last (16th May 2023) at the Mansion House in Dublin. The conference was organised by The National Clinical Programme for Older People in collaboration with TILDA. The programme included a range of innovations & service developments in practice from healthcare professionals working across older peoples services.
The agenda included a wide range of talks, including a keynote “Frailty Education: from chrysalis to butterfly “ by Head of the Discipline of Medical Gerontology at Trinity College Dublin and Consultant Physician, Professor Román Romero Ortuño and an enthralling lecture “ Tick tock, a biological ageing clock” from TILDA Co-PI, Dr Cathal McCrory, Associate Professor of Life Course Development and Ageing in the Department of Medical Gerontology.
The conference was closed with the launch of the Report of National Frailty Education Programme, by Dr Colm Henry, Chief Clinical Officer, HSE.
