Katie Duffy
Katie joined the TILDA research team as a doctoral candidate in 2024. Her PhD research examines sex differences in health and ageing and the interaction of social and biological factors contributing to these differences. She is supervised by Professor Cathal McCrory and Regius Professor Rose Anne Kenny.
Prior to joining TILDA, Katie worked as a research assistant in the Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) on the health team where her research focused primarily on the social determinants of health, including work on inequalities in adult and perinatal mortality as well as the effect of climate change on health. She obtained her M.Sc. in Economics from Tilburg University in 2020 and her B.A. Economics from Trinity College Dublin in 2019.
