Exploring Mode Effects in Longitudinal Studies: Insights from TILDA Workshop

TILDA hosted a dynamic workshop on January 16th, 2025, focusing on Mode Effects in longitudinal population surveys. The event gathered experts from renowned institutions such as University College London, National Centre for Social Research, University of Essex, and University of Michigan, among others.

The workshop featured presentations by leading researchers including Prof. George Ploubidis from University College London, Prof. Paola Zaninotto from ELSA, Dr Jon Burton from the University of Essex, Dr Christine McGarrigle from TILDA, Dr Michael Bergmann from SHARE BERLIN Institute, and Prof. Jessica Faul from the University of Michigan. Discussions examined the implications and challenges of mode switching in longitudinal studies, exploring its impact on social, economic, and health outcomes.

The day-long event included insightful sessions, a round table discussion, and networking opportunities, culminating in a dinner to foster further collaboration and exchange of ideas.
