Dr. Gretta Mohan
Gretta joined the TILDA team in January 2018 and works in the Economic and Social Research Institute on a Health Research Board project concerning health inequalities and access to GP services in Ireland.
Gretta completed a Medical Research Council funded PhD at Queen’s University Belfast, exploring the health and economic impacts of regenerating deprived areas of Northern Ireland. The longitudinal datasets of the Northern Ireland Household Panel Survey (from the British Household Panel Survey) merged with the replacing Understanding Society survey were used to inform the extensive investigation.
Gretta also conducted research at the Academy of Medical Sciences in London, the Institute of Public Health Ireland and Regeneris, an economics consultancy in the UK.
Her research interests span the socio-economic determinants of health, health inequalities, healthcare systems and the impact of government policy.
