Dr. Susie O'Callaghan
Dr. Susie O'Callaghan is a TILDA research fellow undertaking a PhD under the supervision of Professor Rose Anne Kenny. She also works as a geriatrician in the Falls and Blackout Unit in St. James' Hospital and is an assistant professor in medical gerontology in Trinity College School of Medicine.
She graduated from Trinity in 2005 and became a member of the Royal College of Physicians in Ireland (RCPI) in 2009. She then enrolled in a dual training Higher Specialist Training programme in General Internal Medicine (GIM) and Geriatric Medicine. She is certified in GIM since 2013 and has extensive experience in all domains of Geriatric Medicine including acute medicine, stroke, orthogeriatric medicine, movement disorders and rehabilitation medicine. Her subspecialty interest is in falls and syncope and she has completed a Diploma in Syncope and Related Disorders with the RCPI.
Her research interests include neurocardiovascular instability and cognition. She has published in Age and Ageing, Journal of the American Geriatrics Society, The Irish Journal of Medical Science and Yale Journal of Biology and Medicine.
