Dr. Siobhan Leahy
Siobhan Leahy joined TILDA in February 2013 as a post-doctoral Health Researcher. She was awarded a B.Sc. in Physiotherapy from the University of Limerick in 2008 and subsequently completed a PhD investigating body composition and its measurement in Irish adults, also at the University of Limerick.
Siobhan's research interests include the prevalence and associated health outcomes of lifestyle related conditions such as diabetes and obesity, as well as mental and physical health determinants of social participation in the TILDA sample. This work has been funded by the HRB (Socioeconomic Position, Anxiety, Depression and Diabetes in the Ageing Population of Ireland) and the HSE (What are the important determinants for maintaining social participation in over 50s in Ireland? Evidence from the Irish Longitudinal Study on Ageing (TILDA)).
Since June 2017, Siobhan has been providing cover as TILDA Project Manager.
