Ms. Deirdre Roberston
Deirdre Robertson is a HRB funded Ph.D. student with the Department of Medical Gerontology.
Deirdre holds a BA from Trinity College and an MSc in Experimental Psychology from the University of Sussex, Brighton. Deirdre is interested in cognitive impairment and has previously conducted research on the impact of cognitive and social impairments in schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. She also carried out research for her Master's thesis on the effects of ruminative-style thinking on the maintenance of paranoia and persecutory delusions.
Deirdre’s Ph.D. with TILDA focuses on the nature of the relationship between cognitive decline and frailty in the ageing population. She is supervised by Dr. George Savva and Professor Rose Anne Kenny.
